The photographs taken in the northern interior of Portugal, in different seasons, are brought together here after several encounters with the well established tradition in this region of “Chegas de Bois”.I can say that I found myself in the same situations, in the same spaces, but at different times. “The grass needs to be cut” reflects on masculinity in the fleeting nature of life. The feeling of being lost but pretending not to be. Being friends, but not hold each other hands. Distrust. Drinking and not let the other pay for the beer.

This is the result of the balance between tradition and transition, in a space that brings together what stays and what returns.
